Junior Church

Community

Junior Church is for children and young people at Weston.

They meet every Sunday morning at 11.00am as part of the normal Sunday family worship. The children arrive for the service in the same way as the adults and stay in Church for the opening hymns and an informal talk. After the second hymn they go out into the Church hall to find out more about Jesus in a variety of ways; stories, music, drama, discussions, and crafts, cooking all supported by the use of Scripture Union materials.

The children in Junior Church also enjoy using puppets to perform and bring the bible and songslife.

At Christmas the children present the Nativity through acting, singing and dance, and sometimes with the puppets. This is done during the Christingle Service on Christmas Eve and is very much a highlight for the children each year.

We operate a Safe Space for Children and all our play and youth workers are CRB checked.
